REVISIONS

  • Adoption Date: April 1, 2018
  • Revision Date: April 1, 2019

GENERAL INFORMATION

GSSA does give consideration to head coaching conflicts in the scheduling process. Head coaches are responsible for checking the game schedules for rescheduled games and notifying their team. Rescheduled games will be rescheduled to a day in the following manner.

  • On a Saturday.
  • On a Sunday after 12:00 pm.
  • On a weekday after 6:00 pm.

If you are the head coach of more than one GSSA team, it is your responsibility to let the Age Group Commissioner know when a conflict exists between your two teams prior to the start of the season and immediately after rescheduled rain outs.

The GSSA Scheduler will post game schedules and provide all coaches a 7 day window to submit all game conflicts. After the 7 day window, no conflict requests will be accepted.

Games can only be considered for rescheduling for:

  • REQUIRED school activities that leaves your team with less than 50% of your players
  • The head coach has two GSSA teams that have conflicting game times.

Games will NOT be considered for rescheduling for:

  • Coaches or players being out of town.
  • Games being scheduled on a holiday or school break weekend that GSSA has determined to remain open.
  • Assistant coach conflicts.

GSSA will work hard to avoid coaching conflicts, but cannot do this 100% of the time. Please find an assistant coach for times when coaching conflicts cannot be resolved.

GSSA will not reschedule games for assistant coach conflicts.

There are no guarantees that conflicts will be resolved.
