Important Information for Registered Coaches Assigned to Teams ONLY

Thank you for volunteering!
Here are your VERY important and time sensitive Pre-Season Tasks.

Register to Coach

Registration is only needed once per soccer year (June 1 - May 31).
RETURNING COACHES: Coached in the fall? You don't need to register again.
NEW COACHES: You MUST COMPLETE ANNUAL COACH REGISTRATION and complete the required background check and SafeSport* course or refresher asap.
*Completed your SafeSport, but the status isn't updating? Use the CHECK RECORDS button to prompt an update.
Still not updating? UPLOAD YOUR CERTIFICATE

Coaches' Meeting

In-person meeting will be Saturday, February 3, 2024 from 3:00 to 5:00 pm at The REC in Grapevine.

SPRING 2024 COACH PRESENTATION

View Your Teams and Print Your Team Documents, IDs and Match Cards in GotSport

You must be registered and rosters must be released before you can access your teams in GotSport. First contact with your teams should be a personal email. Roster lists will be emailed to coaches.
Official documents (including required Signed Rosters for games), Player IDs, and Coach IDs will be accessible in your GotSport account by the week prior to the first game. It will be communicated to you when they are ready.

This is where you will print Player IDs, Coach IDs, OFFICIAL Rosters and Match Cards.

Sign up for Weekly Practice Plans

Each plan includes 3-4 activities supported by animation/video to ensure that the coaches understand them. A printable option is also available.

The coach spends a few minutes a week viewing the pre-made age-appropriate plan and the result is a confident coach who is prepared to run effective fun practices for the entire season.

NOTE: If your age group is not listed, select the next age group above (i.e. for U7, select U8).

TeamSnap for Coaches

Use the TeamSnap app to receive coach updates by text including announcements and rain outs.

Email Nirav Assar at [email protected] to be added and receive an invitation to join the GSSA Coaches group.

Youth Protection

For the safety of our children, coaches MUST:

1. Register as a coach once per year beginning every June 1st. Registration is 3 steps: Coach registration form, background check, and SafeSport.

2. Wear an official coach's badge at all games.
