GSSA extends suspension of all activities through April 30

To our GSSA families,

So much has changed in our community’s normal day-to-day activities as we all adjust to the ever-changing fight to prevent the spread of COVID-19. As you know, GSSA has suspended all of its own activities in support of federal, state and local efforts to control the spread of the disease and ensure the safety of our soccer community.

Since I last communicated with you, the City of Grapevine has closed all of its fields until the end of April. The City of Southlake has closed all of its fields indefinitely. At the same time, all of our Northern Mid-Cities Soccer League (NMCSL) associations have suspended their activities through the April.

In light of those decisions – and in support of the decisions of our city partners and soccer partners – the GSSA Board is further extending our suspension of all GSSA activities through the end of April.

We continue to communicate each week with our city partners and GSSA’s board has been meeting via conference calls to make decisions about how we will proceed if GSSA’s Spring season resumes May 1. If we do make the decision to resume activities at that point, we will be ready with as many of our games rescheduled as possible.

We thank you for your understanding and patience during this unprecedented crisis. We will communicate with you as this situation evolves and as we gain more certainty about GSSA’s course going forward.

Please, be safe.
