Our Teams Make Us Proud at Section Tournament

The AYSO Section 6 Kick-off Summer Soccer Tournament was held at the Libertyville Township Soccer Complex on Saturday, June 16. 39 teams in the 10U, 12U, 14U, and 19U divisions from AYSO regions in Illinois and Iowa took part in this one-day tournament, playing all day long despite the very hot weather.

Several teams from AYSO Region 183 - Peterson Park competed and performed very well, winning games and sportsmanship awards:

12U Boys were undefeated in pool play, notching three shutout victories. They battled hard in the championship but were defeated 3-2 and finished in second place out of ten teams.

14U Boys finished in third place in their division but won first place in the team sportsmanship category.

14U Girls took second place in their division and also won the first place team sportsmanship award.

Our 19U Boys and 19U Girls teams also won sportsmanship awards.

Congratulations to all our fine young men and women who represented us so well! Thank you to the coaches, referees, and parents who volunteered and helped make it a great day for AYSO soccer!
